Sarah Pitchford, originally a student of Fine Art, later trained as a Movement therapist at the Laban School. She teaches the 5 Rhythms and is a mother of two. She loves the simplicity of practising the Rhythms and the freedom found in their discipline. She is passionate that we all have the right to our own unique dance, and holds a clear and permissive space in her teaching, inviting the dancer to allow their dance to be an ever unfolding journey. Sarah is a long term student, assistant and guest teacher for the Moving Centre School. "Sarah is lyrical in motion. Her acute sense and awareness of space, colour and form mean that she brings an elegant simplicity to her teaching practice. Just to be around her is to learn from her a naturalness of movement, the artistic potential of almost anything and an exquisite attention to detail, all delivered in her straightforward truth telling. Her background in Laban movement adds a specific and valuable precision to her work with 5 Rhythms dancers." Ya'Acov & Susannah Darling Khan - The Moving Centre School UK. |

Alain & Sarah, have been dancing the rhythms together for the last fourteen years. They work both individually and together. They live with an assortment of their 5 children, sharing not only their home life but a consistent, enduring and passionate engagement with the 5 Rhythms as physical and spiritual practise. "These two together are so complimentary and so different. What may appear as an easy sense of love between them has been hard earned. They have brought their practice into everyday life and they have come into a lyrical dance through deep engagement in the struggle and the surrender. They are a pleasure to be with and we are honoured to call them friends, and commend you to their work." Ya'Acov & Susannah Darling Khan - The Moving Centre School UK. |
