The 5Rhythms is a dynamic movement practice – a practice of being in your body that ignites creativity, connection and community. It is composed of exploring through movement 5 different states of being, which are flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. While a seemingly simple process, the 5Rhythms practice facilitates deep and unending explorations, moving the dancer beyond self-imposed limitations and into new depths of creativity and connection.
Classes are run on a drop in basis as regular 5Rhythms® practice, and are open to all regardless of experience. The class will be taught either by Alain Allard, Sarah Pitchford (AA&SP) or Emma Roberts (ER).
“Working with the qualities of each rhythm, flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness we simply dance out all that we hold inside, as we live our daily lives. You are invited in this Tuesday drop in class to allow yourself to be present with what is, and trust the dance you find, the dance that finds you. There will be some time at the end to sit/move or both in silence, so maybe bring a cushion.” – Sarah & Alain
“ The practice loves what ever we put into it. It allows us to explore how we are in a any given moment, and to live it as creative action.” – Emma Roberts
